The pitter patter of little feet littered the wooden staircase as the children anxiously awaited Christmas. "Go to bed!" their father shouted angrily as his wife snuggled into his chest. Their house was warm and comforting, littered with homely decorations and pictures. Outside the snow fell, the snowflakes were blazing, flying in every direction like people in rush hour.
Eventually all but one of the children went to bed. Taran sat on the steps eagerly awaiting his parents to fall asleep, he didn't have to wait long as he saw the fire begin to dim. He clambered down slowly and held his breath as best as he could as he reached the bottom step and slipped into the living room through the great oak double doors. Their glass panes shuddered as he carefully closed them. He looked around and saw numerous coloured parcels, all wrapped wonderfully and he grinned with glee.
As he walked over to a small one by the tree he read the tag, it had his name, he picked it up then it happened...
The wall of the living room was smashed to shreds as a huge creature burst through it, on board the large creature was a girl, she had a fierce look of determination and a steely resolve. She wore a torn shirt, clearly from battle, which was covered in pink roses as a decorative pattern. beneath it she wore bright pink jeans and yellow, white and pink hi-tops. She turned to the young boy and smiled. "Welcome to the team, Taran" she grinned as the beast beneath her moved.
Taran took a closer look, as he did he saw what the beast was as the dust settled, it had long rabbit ears and a cute rabbit like face, but covered the rest of its head was a stern steel helmet with a small lump coming out of the top, it was covered in intricate geometric patterns and was completely unscathed. She looked down to see the rest of the creature it had the body of a lion and arms and legs that were at least two meters long and a foot wide which ended in soft furry paws. It wore a moss green breast plate, moss green shin greaves and arm bracers, shoulder pads and foot cuffs. All in all it looked like a hyped up rabbit ready for battle, as it stood up he saw a long pole like object attached to it's back, this beast was ready for battle.
As it clambered back up it grabbed the pole and held it in front of itself as a huge knight burst from the darkness and snowstorm. Taran shivered as he saw it, partly because of the cold and partly because of it's ominous presence "Alphamon, you will not harm this child!" another masculine voice shouted.
To be continued, probably, since I am beginning to like my creation, but this is for the competition.

The girl spun her head and frowned "Leon! What are you doing!? Professor didn't give you a mega spark!" She shouted. Taran heard the sharp reply "Like I need that to take care of this guy!" The girl sighed and nodded to her beast "ArmonTalmon, strike now!" she called, he nodded and swung the pole, it collided with Alphamon's head and sent him spiralling into the middle of the street. As he did Taran saw a boy run past with a small white orb floating next to him "Oobmon, when you are ready!" Leon shouted.
Leon wore blue gloves and blue and white ski-clothing, he had a light blue hate with white snowflakes on and was still carrying the snowboard "Was Italy fun?" the girl asked
"Shut up, Aleena" Leon replied abruptly. Aleena nodded to ArmonTalmon as he began to warp back to a smaller size. A bright yellow light enveloped him and it quickly faded again. Left behind was a small hare and rabbit cross breed. It had ears that were as long as Taran's arms, and arm's and leg's that were just as long and a small rotund belly. It's eyes were little black beads and it's mouth was a constant smile "Aleena?" it asked "Yeah, Talmon?"
"what do we doo with Oobmon?, Alphamon hit him as he left" Talmon replied. Leon spun quickly and looked.
"Oobmon!" he shouted.
"Hey Kid, it's time to go" Aleena said. Taran looked at her blankly and began to walk "Bring the present" Aleena added. Taran nodded slowly. "No! We don't want him to go!" his parent's called out and as they did his mother grasped Taran's hand. "I'm afraid we have to take him, it's no longer safe, goodbye" Aleena said as she withdrew a small white powder. The parent's began to shake their heads in disbelief but as they did Aleena blew the powder and they and Taran collapsed. "Grab the two presents Taran need's and close up the wall" Aleena ordered, Talmon nodded and got to work.
Aleena carried Taran to the nearby Limousine and climbed in, Inside was Leon and Oobmon, who were sleeping. She smiled and looked up at the moon, it was late after all, she looked at Leon, Oobmon and Taran snoozing silently and waved her hand to the driver. As she did Talmon leapt in with a box "Where is the other?" Aleena asked "He's holding it" Talmon said as the door slammed and the car took off. Aleena nodded and closed her eyes gently as the car whizzed down the empty streets. She was glad it was all over.

The car slowed as it neared a pier. "Miss Aleena" Talmon said as the car stopped moving, Aleena stirred. "Aleena" Talmon hissed.
"What, Tal?" Aleena asked.
"The plane can't land, there is something in the water" Talmon explained
"Oh... what fresh Fairy Dust now?" Aleena asked. Talmon shrugged and swung the door open "Oi! OI!" she hissed, poking Leon. He wriggled and giggled as she continue to prod "screw it" she said as she slid out the door after Talmon.
"It's time to roll Talmon!" she shouted as she withdrew a taser
"Wait!" shouted a voice, Aleena spun and saw her worst nightmare. "Aleena don't!" the shrill voice called. Talmon sighed and turned around. "Hey, Rori" Talmon muttered. Rori grinned
"Hey tal-tal!" she giggled. "Aleena, you'll harm the fish, let me and Orchidemon deal with it!" Rori laughed as she ran past. She withdrew a small hand sized pole and tapped a button, it expanded and became six feet long within seconds. "Won't be long!" she laughed as she ran ahead.
"Where's Orchidemon?" Aleena asked.
"Look up" Talmon sighed as they saw a small green dot fly overhead.
Rori reached the pier and leapt off, spinning her pole she began to lift upwards through the air, flying. "Orchidemon use petal swirl" she called. A small green dot flew downwards until it was just a few metres from the water. Suddenly flurouescent pink petals appeared, lighting up the area around Orchidemon, her tiny green wings made from leaves and her small white body were all that could be made out before the petals were launched, lighting up the water until they stopped above the target; Ikkakumon.
Rori nodded "Get him out of the water time!" she shouted with a big grin on her face. Spinning her pole a final time she swung herself up and bounced off it. Talmon and Aleena looked up as the pole fell, just barely missing them as it hit the hard concrete. It was almost impossible to see now. Aleena withdrew a net and threw it to Orchidemon "Use winged fury followed by petal swirld and finish up with planting!" Rori called. Orchidemon understood and instantly began. Her wings flapped furiously, sending blades of wind towards Ikkakumon who didn't see them coming and was knocked backwards. The petal flew towards Ikkakumon but as they did he was able to see them and prepare his counter-attack, harpoon torpedo. Luckily this was anticipated. Orchidemon had disappeared and appeared above, she began to spin until roots burst outwards and wrapped around Ikkakumon, and in the absence of his horn all he could do was thrash around. as the roots encompassed him he was lifted from the water and netted up all in one swift movement. "Good work Orchidemon!" Rori shouted as she flew back down and landed on the Pier. "Hey Tal, pass me my pole?" she asked, Talmon nodded and threw it to Rori who caught with ease.
Orchidemon arrived on shore with Ikkakumon quickly, placing him down gently "Now, now mr Ikkaku, I think it's time for you to go home, don't you?" Rori asked. Ikkakumon nodded and the net was removed and the roots detatched. Rori kissed him on the cheek and withdrew a small sphere, she crushed it and sprinkled the dust onto Ikkakumon, he slowly faded as the dust settled until he was entirely gone. "Good work Orchidemon" Rori said with a grin as she hugged her digimon.
"Alright tree-hugger, let's go" Aleena said with a sigh as she walked back towards the limousine. Rori sighed as Orchidemon and she slowly entered the limousine. Inside Orchidemon's large blue eyes became visible and the small mouth became more obvious. Her other features such as the small fingers on the end of her short arms and legs. Her body was more peach than white and her wings were many shades of green, indeed she looked more beautiful in the light than the dark. Talmon sighed and walked over to the present and picked it up, sitting on the floor rather than a seat. Rori smiled gratefully and her and Orchidemon clambered onto the only available seats, next to a sleeping Leon.
"This is cosy" Rori began, Aleena stopped her in her tracks
"Go to Lakelis park, that's where the helicopter will land" Aleena ordered. The limousine quickly began to move and silence ensued. It wasn't long before all of them were back asleep, apart from Aleena and Talmon. "This kid, was it worth it, taking him from his family?" Aleena asked as she looked at him on the brown leather seat, sleeping peacefully. "I'm not sure, but it was our mission, you know the rules" Talmon replied. "He doesn't even have a partner" Aleena protested.
"He was requested for a reason, let's just hope we get told" Talmon replied as he crossed his legs and began to meditate. Aleena realised when to stop and closed her own eyes, she may as well sleep before the plane arrived.

The Limousine pulled slowly into the park. Aleena sighed, now she had to wake the dolts up...
She walked over to Leon and nipped his ear, he leapt up and looked around in shock. "Hey, you're finally up" Aleena said with a cheerful smile "Wake up Oobmon, Rori and Orchidemon and follow me" she ordered. Leon nodded slowly and began waking Rori up as Talmon grabbed Taran and left. The area was quiet and peaceful. As they left the limousine Leon looked up to see a clear night sky and as he looked back down, nestled in between the shrubbery and the dead trees was a helicopter. "It kind of demeans the beauty of the park" Rori said with a sigh
"Walk then" Aleena quipped as she climbed into the helicopter and held the door for Talmon and Taran. Rori sighed as the door slammed shut in her face.
Leon took in his surroundings one last time as the limousine pulled away and he climbed into the helicopter. Rori and Aleena were on opposite sides, leaving Oobmon and Leon to have to be split up. Leon clambered through the mess of legs and sat down on the black leather seats and felt the cold metal. This wasn't as nice as the limousine, that was for sure. The helicopter took off as Leon reached for his headgear. "Why is it always me who isn't ready!?" Leon shouted as the blades began to spin, Rori and Aleena looked at him blankly. "Oh, I forgot!" Leon shouted. He pulled off his hat and dirty blonde hair burst out, it was short but bushy. In the light of the helicopter, his soft baby-like features became apparent. "Awrhh, you always look so cute in the light" Rori said with a giggle. Leon sighed and pulled the headgear on
"Shut up." he said as he turned and looked out the window, they were already above the buildings and were quickly rising further and further.
"How long till we reach home base?" Leon asked curiously
"I can't take you seriously" Rori giggled. Leon sighed and pulled his hat over his face.
"Leon, I don't like heights, I told you this didn't I?" Oobmon asked as he looked uneasily out of the window. Leon nodded slowly and Rori giggled. "Can we just sit quietly, it's nearly three in the morning!!" Aleena shouted angrily, an awkward silence quickly sweeped the cabin until a voice that was the pilots broke the silence "We are nearing home base"
"Got it, land wherever" Aleena replied.
"Time to debrief" Rori said with a sigh
"Not for me, I wasn't on this mission" Leon said with a grin. Aleena shook her head and grabbed hold of his ear
"I think you may be sticking around awhile" she hissed. Leon growled and pulled away. Talmon looked at Taran, was it really the right choice to take a child from their home because of a wild goose chase?
Rori looked out of the window and smiled, the floating continent that was home base was laid out before her. It was around the size of a small island and although it was entirely technological it had wonderous trees and wild life all over the entire area. As they neared they pulled towards an area designated with large H's as the helicopter landing area. It was black tarmac, and void of any nature. As they landed Oobmon flew outwards and breathed deeply "come on Leon, let's go!" he shouted uneasily. Leon nodded and clambered out, grabbing hold of Oobmon. Talmon prepared to carry Taran but as he was about to a man walked over to the helipad with a stretcher "Place the target onto here" he ordered. Aleena nodded and lifted Taran out and placed him gently onto the stretcher, placing the second present near him while he still grasped the first tightly. "Follow me for debriefing" the man ordered. Aleena nodded and climbed out, Rori and Orchidemon wern't far behind, Talmon left last, closing the door and leaping onto Leon "Come on you, escape isn't that easy" Talmon laughed as he clambered onto Leon's shoulders "Mush!" he said with a grin. Leon sighed and ran towards the large brick building that Rori, Aleena, Orchidemon and the man had just gone into.
As he entered he looked to see Rori, Orchidemon and Aleena seated. While Taran, the man and another man stood infront of a screen. Leon rushed inside and took a seat next to Orchidemon with Talmon leaping off and sitting next to Aleena. "Now that you are all here" the second man began. "We shall begin with the debriefing."
"Yes sir" was the sharp reply from everyone, including the man in the suit who stood near Taran.
"Now... wait, Andrew, take a seat" the man said as he saw Andrew still stood infront of the screen. Andrew nodded and sat down quickly. "Okay, now that everyone is seated let's begin. This child was recovered from earth and brought here because we found out that his soul had reprieved during REM sleep recently, which means as we all know, that he is a digidestined. We had no choice but to recover him" as he prepared to speak again Aleena quickly interupted
"But the boy possesses no current digimon" she said, regretting it quickly.
"Aleena, I think you have overlooked the situation" the man replied.
"Sorry, Lord Kayran" Aleena said quickly as she realised her mistake.
"It is within this box that the digimon lies" Kayran indicated the box that Taran was clutching tightly.
"Okay, now we need to talk about the events that went on" Lord Kayran began "Aleena, would you like to begin?" he asked. Aleena sighed and stood up.

"Upon arriving at the residence, we saw Alphamon preparing to break in, so I used the mega spark professor gave me and we engaged Alphamon" Aleena explained. Kayran quickly interrupted
"Why on earth did you engage such a powerful digimon, even at mega-level you were no match!?" Kayran shouted.
"We had no choice, I was the only operative around, and I could hardly face him with a rookie" Aleena replied. Kayran sighed "continue"
"Okay, so after we battled for awhile he knocked me through the house's wall" Aleena stopped as she saw the pent up anger from Kayran. "ermm, sir?" she asked.
"That's civillian property damage, what did you do to repair it?" he asked
"I sent Talmon to clean up after the fight" Aleena replied
"Well?" Kayran asked Talmon
"I repaired the wall with a hologram, called some builders to fix it and wiped the memories" Talmon explained. Kayran sighed. "Continue Aleena" he said waving his hand.
Aleena nodded "Well we fought until Leon arrived and got Alphamon to clear off, somehow. That's when we grabbed Taran and left, but we made sure to use sleep powder first on both him and his parents" Aleena explained.
"That does not make kidnapping okay" Kayran replied.
"We had no choice, mission pass or fail" Aleena replied quickly.
"Go on" Kayran said with a heavy sigh.
"Well next we decided that we would drive to the pier for pick up" Aleena said. "I got out when an UDD was sighted"
"That's where I came in" Rori said.
"Yes, Rori arrived and insisted that she did the fighting. So, I let her, we returned Ikkakumon and then went to the park for pick-up, then we arrived here, 'nough said" Aleena finished and went back to her seat.
Lord Kayran walked back to the screen and grabbed a remote, pressing it once a picture appeared on screen. It was a rotating logo. "What is this?" he asked.
"It is the Reprieve logo" Aleena replied.
"And what does it mean?"
"It means that anyone who bears that logo is part of Reprieve" Oobmon replied eagerly.
"Why are none of you wearing the logo?" he asked, there was a long pause and then an awkward silence. "Regardless I think we will end here, you are all dismissed" Kayran explained.
"What will happen with Taran?" Talmon asked
"The boy will be held in our medical facility temporarily, now leave you are all off the clock" Kayran said. Everyone, including Andrew left quickly.
As they got outside Andrew's partner rounded the corner. "G-mon? Is that you?" Rori shouted as he hovered over to them, it looked like an ordinary lump of rock, excepted it floated, and had deep black slits for eyes and a larger one for a mouth. "Andrew, have you forgotten your arrangement with Rori?" G-mon asked as he slowed to a halt. Andrew stepped uneasily "Of course not" Andrew said.

Rori grinned with glee "Ready, Orchidemon?" she said. Orchidemon nodded and flew into position, Leon and Aleena backed off, leaving a wide square space for them to fight in. Andrew and G-Mon moved directly opposite. "On my count" Leon said with a grin. "3...2...1...go!" he shouted. There was a burst of action as G-Mon used his first attack and Orchidemon did too. "G-Mon use boulder bombing!" Andrew shouted. Rori quickly thought
"Orchidemon counter with planting!" she shouted. G-Mon vanished and appeared above, flying downwards he multiplied till there were ten G-Mon's flying towards Orchidemon, she vanished and appeared above them, her roots burst out and began to crush the G-Mon, the original quickly moved and opened it's mouth, firing a spray of sand. "Use Sand Spit again!" Andrew shouted. G-Mon listened and fired again, blinding Orchidemon.
"Orchidemon, use Petal Swirl!" Rori called, Orchidemon nodded and the petal flew outwards in a circle, smacking G-Mon as he attempted boulder bombing again "Now, use winged fury!" she said as he flew backwards. Orchidemon obeyed and fired the attack but it barely got a few feet before it was stopped. "Calmoonmon, release them!" a voice shouted. As the dust cleared, they saw a digimon holding onto a struggling G-Mon and Orchidemon "but master..." Calmoonmon began.
"But nothing, we must go debrief." he replied quickly. Calmoonmon nodded and followed closely. "Looks like King and Calmoonmon ended your fight" Aleena said as she and Talmon left quickly. Rori shrugged her shoulders and ran off. Leon headed towards the sleeping quarters. Leaving no one but Andrew and his digimon, G-Mon outside.
He sighed and headed towards the relaxation complex, it had been a long day, and it was now six in the morning.
Rori chased after Aleena "Hey, so we did good didn't we teammate"
"Go away" Aleena said as she entered the TV room, there was a rug by the automatic glass doors. She wiped her feet on the pink rug and placed her shoes on the wooden flooring. Rori mimicked her and followed her down the three steps into the TV area. it was a 'P' shape, without the hole in the middle. Aleena leapt over the edge of the nearest, yellow leather sofa and lay down on it. Talmon sat on the edge of the sofa, leaving only the other adjacent green sofa for Rori, she walked across the red furry rug in the middle and sat down with Orchidemon. "You okay?" Rori asked as she sat down.
"Shut up" Aleena replied as she turned the TV on.
"I'm sorry for stealing your fight" Rori muttered.
"Sorry isn't good enough, this isn't the first time you have done it" Aleena replied with clenched teeth. Rori nodded slowly "But still, I mean it" she said with a smile.

Taran awoke startled in a hospital bed, with wires plugged in all over his body, in a nervous panic he began to writhe and try to wriggle free, screaming in pain as some of the needles pulled at his flesh. A nurse rushed over and began to shout things as she held Taran down, his ears felt like they were mute and everything was in slow motion as he saw doctors and nurses rush over to hold him down and inject something into his neck. He struggled for awhile until everything went black again.
Taran opened his eyes, hoping it had all been a dream but as he did he felt the pain of the wounds that had been caused by him trying to free himself of the several needles and other instruments attached to his body. As he awoke he saw a familiar face, it was that girl, the one that broke into his house with the armoured rabbit. Taran's eyes moved wildly as he realised he was now restrained after his earlier outburst. As he prepared to scream for help the girl spoke "Calm down or you'll hurt yourself again" she said looking at the wound just above his hip bone, where he had moved the needle inserted there. As he opened his mouth to scream the girl reached over and clamped her hand over. "I'm Aleena, and you are Taran, so now we are introduced how about you calm down and I explain the situation?" she said with a smile. Taran's eyes moved around wildly as he looked for a way to escape, this couldn't be real. "Calm down, look I'm going to release my hand in three seconds, but only if you promise not to scream and struggle, because if you do then you'll have to go back to sleep, okay?" Aleena said, Taran looked around one last time and turned back, moving his head slowly up and down.
"Okay Taran, three, two, one" Aleena said, removing her hand slowly she waited and saw Taran with his lips firmly sealed "Hey. You are here because recently we realised you are special and now we are running tests, using these delicate instruments to measure that special stuff inside you" Aleena explained. Taran took it all in slowly and nodded. "So I need you to stay awful still when you are awake, I'll be here, so you won't get lonely" Aleena said with a smile. Taran nodded. "Okay I'm going to remove the restraints so you don't feel trapped, but still you wanna be careful, after all you already need to recover from the damage you did last time" Aleena said as she reached over, and began to undo the straps that were holding Taran perfectly still.
Taran moved a little to check his freedom and winced in pain as he did "Yeah you are going to want to avoid doing that" Aleena said with a smile.
"I never knew you were this nice" Leon said as he walked in and leapt onto the bed in front of Aleena and on the other side of Taran. Taran turned his head and winced as the needle that was withdrawing a blood sample from one of his jugular veins moved slightly. "Leon what are you doing here?" Aleena said with a sigh.
"Just chilling, and annoying you" Leon said as he threw the hospital beds pillow at Aleena. Aleena clenched her fists in anger and threw the pillow back at him, knocking him backwards. "So wut you doing?" Leon asked with a cheeky grin as he got back up
"I'm here to accompany Taran, baby face" Aleena replied with her own cheeky grin, Leon scowled and went bright red. "Don't call me that!" Leon said with an angry moan.
"It isn't my fault that you look like you’re a tall five year old with too much hair" Aleena said with a little laugh.
Leon prepared to reply but a beeping filled his ears, he reached into his pocket and tried to retrieve his pager. Aleena withdrew hers from her waist and read it "Taran, you stay here!" Aleena said as she leapt up and ran towards the hospital doors, nearly slipping on the newly cleaned blue tiled flooring. Leon bounced up off of the fully white linen and used the silver bed frame to boost him through the air as he jumped "Wait up Aleena!" he called as he ran off after her threw the lime green hospital doors. As it opened extra light and a fresh breeze burst in, after all the room had very few windows and only a small amount of light came from the two small windows in the doors.
Taran looked around at the whitewashed walls of the hospital, it was such a bleak place, occasionally there was a person in one of the beds and one of the bed's had its curtains drawn but it was a mostly empty hospital room. He sighed, he couldn't move and yet he wanted to know what was going on, and with no nurses around he couldn't even ask to be told. He breathed deeply and began to look at the instruments that had been put into his body.

Rori tapped her foot to the beat of her favourite song as she sat in the office area in Reprieve HQ. She nervously checked over her shoulder every few minutes, she was downloading songs on a computer supposed to be used for defensive strategies, luckily they didn't need any and everyone had gone for lunch. The computer finish and she unplugged her USB stick and reattached it to the thread around her neck that also housed her pager and camera. She took off the thread as she heard the pager bleep; she read it and dropped the thread on the floor. There was no time. *** Andrew stood guard outside Lord Kayran's office until he heard Lord Kayran shouting in fury. "Lord Kayran?" he asked, Kayran didn't reply so Andrew knocked and then entered. "Get outside, now!" Kayran shouted angrily. Andrew shrugged his shoulders and turned to G-Mon, "let's move!" he shouted as he ran off down the purple carpeted hallway, avoiding the recently painted teal walls. *** Rori looked up as she ran down the inner hallways of the HQ, there were red flashing lights, the place was going into lockdown, she had at most twenty seconds to get outside before she would be trapped till the lengthy manual override code was input. This had to be a very serious problem for all this to be happening. She wondered, was there infiltration, assassination, both of these were common worries for those who worked at Reprieve. She slid under one of the inner doors as it closed and rolled to her feet with expert timing "I hope Orchidemon is safe" Rori muttered as she cart wheeled through a double door that was closing, finally she saw the exit, the door was around a foot from closing, Rori grabbed her shoe and threw it, jamming the door open. She leapt up and bounced off the shoe, pulling it with her and she jumped, the door slammed shut instantly afterwards and Orchidemon smiled as she saw Rori "Time to go Rori" Orchidemon muttered, she was a Digimon of very few words "Got it, Orchidemon!" Rori squealed with glee as they ran forwards. *** Andrew and G-Mon burst out from the big glass doors and looked out in shock. "This is not good" Andrew said with a look of panic. G-Mon nodded slowly. "What do we do, Andrew?" G-Mon asked timidly "We do our job" King replied. A burly, dark skinned man walked next to Andrew and stroked his stubble; he wore a white jumpsuit with orange shoulder pads and an embossment of the reprieve logo on the front, where the zip was opened, halving the logo. He wore steel toe capped trainers and had an entirely bald head. It shone brightly in the midday sun. "Shall we move?" King asked as Calmoonmon, his Digimon, a champion appeared. Calmoonmon was a tall Digimon, but only just taller than her six foot and seven inch master, she stood at eight foot. She was slender and looked almost like a regular human being, she wore a pink leotard and white tights, but the difference was that the tights were made of tough but durable substance and the leotard was as solid as steel. She wore shiny, silver leg warmers that were made of a tough wire mesh. The leotard bore a large yellow crescent moon on the front and a full white moon on the back. She wore a large white pelt that curled around her arms and covered her shoulders, and swung down the back of her legs. Her face was covered by a wedding veil and her eyes were further covered by a pair of large sunglasses. Her right cheek had a yellow crescent moon on it and her left had the white, full moon. She wore tap shoes with a slight heel and long black leather gloves. Her lips were perfectly pursed and were a crimson red. "I'm ready" Calmoonmon said as she stepped forward another step. |

Leon and Aleena stopped in their tracks as they saw what was before them. Oobmon hovered over to Leon's side and Talmon toddled over to Aleena's "orders?" Talmon asked as he looked at the scene before them.
"Let's get in there and kick Izzy..." Aleena said as she stared ahead at the scene of destruction. There were fifteen Airdramon; each one was firing their attacks rapidly at the edge of home base. "Move! It's going to use Wing Cutter!" Aleena shouted as leapt out of the way. Leon shook his head
"This is the hospital, I have no choice" he replied. Aleena gasped as Leon held up his arms and the attack struck, the blades of air tore into his clothing, cutting his body but as the air settled Leon was smiling "Oobmon it's time for us to shine" Leon said with a nod. Oobmon nodded and flew up towards the Airdramon that had attacked.
"Shining orbit!" Oobmon shouted, he vanished and began to appear rapidly around Airdramon, till it seemed like there were at least twenty Oobmon's, Airdramon looked around confused and began to roar in fury, but as it did all of the Oobmon's flew at Airdramon, tearing through it. The data exploded and as it cleared Oobmon was quickly dropping through the sky as it tried to hold onto a Digi-Egg.
Leon ran over to Oobmon who threw the egg to him. As Leon caught it and put it to one side Rori appeared from out of the HQ "Come on Rori and Aleena, let's work together and stop this!" Leon shouted. Aleena nodded uneasily.
"Talmon use seven dragon magic to restrain the left most dragon, Rori you take care of it from there!" Aleena shouted, so Rori could hear. Rori nodded and spoke to Orchidemon "Orchidemon, I want you to use Petal Swirl" Rori explained, Orchidemon nodded and began flying towards the Airdramon, Rori ran after Orchidemon quickly. Leon ran backwards towards the hospital. As he ran he held onto his blue and white snowflake Sherpa hat by the threads that hung down as an Airdramon used Spinning Needle, firing the needles closely behind him as he ran. He skidded to a halt outside the hospital, he had to defend it. He grabbed a key and locked the doors, as he pocketed the key and spun around he felt a Spinning Needle attack fly into his body. Blood sprayed outwards and he flew backwards and smacked into the hard glass. He felt the wind leave his body as he felt to his knees. "Aleena, be quick" he wheezed.
Talmon held up his paw and a glyph appeared, from it burst seven small thin dragon ghosts, each one grasped part of the Airdramon, and held on tightly. Talmon immediately felt tension as it took three of them just to hold its mouth shut. "Orchidemon, go!" Talmon shouted as he clenched his teeth in frustration. Twelve of the other Airdramon were still destroying home base, while one had singled out Leon "Hold strong..." Aleena muttered as she ran over to the Airdramon they were holding still. She reached onto her hip for her taser gun but realised she wasn't kitted up anymore. "Old school it is" she muttered as she reached down onto the ground and grabbed a chunk of rubble, she leapt into the air, and nestled herself onto the Airdramon's shoulders, she smacked the rubble off its head repeatedly, making it drop further and further down until it dropped to the ground.
Orchidemon lifted its wings and the fluorescent petals appeared in the air, shining brightly as they cascaded through the air, striking the Airdramon while it was grounded. "Once more!" Rori shouted, Aleena nodded and dropped the rubble, leaping off as Orchidemon fired the petals again and the data exploded, turning into a Digi-Egg. "We need help!" Rori shouted desperately as Oobmon was knocked backwards by three consecutive tornados. "Help has arrived" King shouted as he flew through the sky and punched one of the Airdramon's, with his muscle tone he had enough force to sent the Airdramon flying backwards far enough for Calmoonmon to catch it with one swift kick "Crescent Moon Crush" Calmoonmon shouted, lifting her leg up she swung it down, and crushed the Airdramon, instantly making its data explode into a Digi-Egg.
Leon gasped for air as he saw another Wing Cutter flying towards him, his vision was hazy and he was rapidly losing blood but he had to save the hospital. He just barely managed to force himself to stand up as the attack neared; his right leg was entirely shot, leaving him just barely managing to stand on his left. His torn brown shorts showed all of the cuts he had already received. He held up his arms and tried to keep his eyes open long enough, sleep seemed so attractive right now. He breathed in deeply as it was just inches away. There was a loud smash and it was all over.

Leon opened his eyes slowly as he felt a lack of immediate pain, Andrew and G-Mon were in front of him, they had took the attack full force. "Why..." Leon muttered slowly.
"Because, we are friends, and friends fight back, are you okay here for now?" Andrew asked, only turning his head, which had a small cut on the cheek from the attack to speak to Leon. Leon opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. Andrew raised an eyebrow and turned around. "Leon?" he asked slowly. Leon fell to his knees and clutched his chest. Andrew frowned, "Leon?" he asked again, this time slower. Leon looked up at Andrew with fear and a certain wildness in his eyes before blood flew from his mouth, and his body became lifeless. "Leon!?" Andrew shouted in shock as he looked at the body. As he did he heard the nearby Airdramon fire another Wing Cutter attack. "G-Mon, kill it." Andrew said simply as he searched for a pulse on Leon. G-Mon immediately obeyed orders and flew towards the Airdramon, taking the Wing Cutter attack full brunt. Airdramon roared with pride as the attack struck but as the smoke cleared G-Mon hovered in front of Airdramon for a few seconds before Airdramon turned around and began to fly.
G-Mon vanished and multiplied quickly, using boulder bombing to smack the Airdramon downwards, where King waited below. King held his fist up and as the Airdramon hit it, its data began to dissolve slowly but surely "G-Mon, use sand spit to finish the job" King said as he turned around and watched Calmoonmon use Crescent Moon Crush to dispatch another of them. They were down to just six Airdramon, but the remaining ones had banded together, to prepare for a final assault. "Calmoonmon, charge up your Moonlight Dance!" King shouted as he thought on his feet, Calmoonmon nodded "G-Mon, prepare to use Sand spit as rapidly as you can!" King called, G-Mon nodded and flew into position. Aleena and Rori had already readied themselves. The Airdramon charged up their Spinning Needle attack en masse. "Ready!?" King shouted as he cracked his knuckles. The team nodded and King ran forwards, holding his fist back ready to strike. The Airdramon quickly responded with a Spinning Needle, but before either attack could hit light burst outwards from the center of the battlefield. King flew backwards into Calmoonmon's arms as soon as the light appeared. "What's going on!?" Aleena shouted. Rori frowned "Are you ready?" she asked Orchidemon, Orchidemon nodded and Rori withdrew a Champion Spark; it was a small yellow and white tablet that shone brightly in the light. Orchidemon opened her mouth and Rori dropped it in.
Orchidemon gasped as she exploded with data, and a sphere of light formed. She grew to nearly three times her original size, gained a large black pole topped with a star in one hand and a shield in the other, and her wings vanished. She gained a breastplate and chainmail and a helmet. All of it was pink with silver highlights. The visor on the helmet was pulled down over Orchidemon's eyes and her legs now ended in feet, instead of little fingers. The light cleared and Orchidemon nodded to Calmoonmon. This foe would not be easy to defeat. "Wait here King" Calmoonmon said as she put King behind her "Talmon, G-Mon, Rori, Aleena, get back" Calmoonmon ordered, her voice was feminine and attractive but it still demanded order the same as that of a dictator's voice would.
Aleena moved backwards and looked at the devastation that was in front of her. The HQ was entirely whole but the hospital building was scared slightly, but it was superficial, however the bedroom complex had been nearly leveled and the shrubbery areas were all but gone. There was rubble and shrapnel everywhere. There were nine Digi-Egg's scattered all over, and as she turned around to look at the hospital again she saw Andrew bent down looking at something, whatever it was he was probably just hiding and wasting time. That was Andrew all over. Aleena sighed and turned to Rori "I hate feeling useless" she muttered, Rori nodded slowly with a smile, Talmon moved closer to Aleena, ready to protect her, he may only be a rookie but he was still feisty.

As the dust cloud and light cleared they saw a beast of a digimon in front of them. The ground underneath it had been torn to shreds and pushed backwards, leaving a gaping hole in home base, luckily it wasn't near anything important. "What do we do?" Arorchidemon asked Rori as she stared at the foe with fierce eyes. She looked to Rori for reassurance but found none. "Arorchidemon, we fight." King said as he charged, ignoring the inevitable fate that awaited he clenched his teeth and prepared for pain.
"Stop" Dobermon said, it looked at King and he stopped in his tracks, and then flew backwards, Calmoonmon easily caught him, this battle wouldn't be easy. Dobermon was well over five metres tall it's teeth were nearly as big as Calmoonmon. Calmoonmon pushed King behind her and stared at the dog-like creature. It wore a spiked metal colour that shone brightly, it's claws were long and protruded in groups of three from each paw, with one on the heel. It had a black body with a dark brown underbody. It's ears were long and spindly, its spine protruded from it's back and it's tail was short and stubby. It looked like it could do serious damage, so why wasn't it already?
"Calmoonmon" King began as he got to his feet.
"Already on it!" Calmoonmon said as she ran forwards "Moonlight dance!" she shouted, her feet and hands lit up with a glorious white light and they burned with pink music notes flying from them. "Die." Calmoonmon ordered as she prepared to tapdance it's brain's out. Before she could she saw it charge up it's own attack: Black beam. Calmoonmon could easily evade it but it would hit her companions. It was lucky she didn't have to make the choice, as it was about to unleash the ball of dark energy in it's mouth there was a flash and it's mouth was smacked closed and Calmoonmon was kicked, sending her flying backwards.
"What?" Aleena asked as she looked around for an explanation, as she spun and looked at the roof of the HQ she found it. On there was a person. From here they were just a black speck, but she could tell they had no emotion on their face. Dobermon looked up at the person and fired a quick black beam. The person leapt down, it missed and flew into the sky, as they ran they moved from side to side in a zigzag pattern, avoiding all of the black beam's as they neared Dobermon. Dobermon gasped and leapt into the air as the person clad in black pushed off the ground with their hands and kicked their leg, nearly hitting Dobermon.
As Dobermon glided through the air, they all noticed something "There is someone on it's back!" Rori shouted. She nodded to Arorchidemon but the person in black shook their head "You lot stay back" the voice ordered. It was feminine but stern and dominant. As they looked at the person clad in black they saw a slender yet toned figured. From head to toe they wore black. Black trousers and a loose black shirt that had sleeves longer than the arms and black bandages were wrapped around both. Black shoes were only just visible and they had a silver sole and trainer-like shape. They wore a headscarf made of jet black bandages that covered everything but their eyes. They spun slowly and their eyes were revealed, they were beautiful, like little pools of jade, a perfect green colour that shone in the sun.
As Dobermon flew through the air he fired gray noise, it was a ball of invisible energy, that sparked with electricity, without even moving they watched as the ball struck the area next to the ninja that stood before them. They leapt up and ran towards Dobermon as they flew through the air, as their flailings legs moved they eventually made contact with a Dobermon that was turning tail, sending it skidding onto it's belly. The person spun in shock as Wing Cutter's from all of the remaining Airdramon rocketing towards the group. They ran forwards and took each and every Wing Cutter attack to their own body before it struck, only just catching the last one they panted heavily as their bandages and clothing underneath were torn, revealing scarred skin.
The person vanished and appeared on top of the HQ again, they turned as they fell to their knees, speaking to someone or something. "Simon..." they muttered to the small in-training digimon that was next to them. It was a fuchisa pink ball with small feathery wings that were torn and a star shaped scar that covered it's entire body. "I'll fight" Simon protested
"Never again" they began
"Bu-" Simon protested
"You will never fight again" they replied, putting emphasis on never. They stood up and spun back to see the scene before them "Simon, stay safe, okay?" they ordered. Simon moved to protest but after a stern look as the bandage fell from the effeminate lips of his master he simply nodded.

Simon watched as his reliable and sometimes over-caring master leapt off the edge of the HQ and freefell to the ground, rolling onto her feet. "You can do it, Alice!" Simon exclaimed as Alice ran forwards and withdrew her signature Tonto from its black and gold patterned scabbard on her back. It was a small blade without any discernable sharp edge, more of a block of metal than a blade. Her clothes were now torn, revealing her soft whiter than white flesh. Her frame looked as though she could barely lift a twig but in fact it was through training that she achieved the body shape she currently possessed. She looked at the Dobermon and spotted the person on the back "Who is that!?" Alice exclaimed angrily as she held the Tonto in front of her, like a shield. Dobermon looked backwards and then bore his teeth "None of your business!" he replied sharply, charging instantly, catching Alice off guard. Calmoonmon nodded and sprung into action. As Dobermon neared Alice Calmoonmon appeared on its head, she stamped up and down twice, clapping her hands as she did so, pink music notes burst from her hands and feet and struck the Dobermon, exploding on impact and sending it into a spin. Arorchidemon was already waiting and as Dobermon spun towards her she held her staff forwards "Star gazer!" she shouted, unleashing a wave of stars that struck hard and fast, stopping Dobermon's spiral and leaving a large dust cloud. King ran over to Alice "You don't have to fight alone" he explained. "We are here." Aleena said as she and Talmon walked over, looking at the enemy. Rori was closely behind and she grinned. She flashed a big ‘thumbs up’ to Alice. G-Mon flew up next to King and nodded. Alice looked back to the enemy and breathed deeply, her vision was getting hazy. The effects wouldn't last much longer. She gathered her resolve and ran forwards, the dust cleared and Dobermon fired Gray Noise again, Alice held up her blade and slashed at the Gray Noise, her Tonto cut straight through, splitting it into two smaller chunks, which smashed either side of her as she continued running. He kept firing but Alice just knocked it aside effortlessly "It's over!" she announced, slashing her blade downwards through the Dobermon. She looked up afterwards and gasped as her blade and herself bounced off and suddenly the beast spoke in the same voice it had used to stop King earlier "Stop" it uttered, they all felt themselves move backwards slowly, as Dobermon looked around the scene of destruction he looked finally to the six Airdramon and lasers shot from his eyes, he dragged them along all the Airdramon in one swift movement, turning them into Digi-Eggs instantaneously. He finally took one last look and leapt through the air and turned into a data-stream, fading from existence. "What... was that!?" King exclaimed, his mind boggled by the events that had just happened. "Alice?" Aleena asked as she looked for Alice, Alice was already stood at the base of the HQ again, as she prepared to jump her body caved in. "Alice!" Aleena exclaimed, running over to her fellow Reprieve operative. Aleena stopped as she saw Alice's partner leap down and land softly on Alice's belly. "Simon? I thought Alice never allowed him near a fight?" Aleena asked out loud, Talmon slowed to a stop next to her and looked at her then at Alice "No, she never allows him to fight, sometimes the second is more important than the first" Talmon explained as he reached up to his partner and grabbed her hand "Aleena?" he asked. "Yeah?" Aleena replied, still staring at Alice. "I'm scared." Talmon replied "What? You're never scared, that's why we are partners." Aleena said, turning her head to Talmon. "I think that what's currently happening is beyond our control, and that Dobermon is just part of some bigger plot, this isn't over yet" Talmon explained. Aleena looked at him for awhile before speaking next "I agree." she said finally. *** King ignored it all and walked over to Andrew, as he saw Leon's body he gasped and ran over quicker "What happened!?" King exclaimed, confused. "He collapsed, and starting bleeding from his mouth" Andrew said as he continued to wipe away the blood trails that were all over Leon with nothing but a scrap of his usually clean-cut suit. "Where is the key to the hospital?" King asked as he looked around desperately. Calmoonmon, Rori and Arorchidemon rushed over "Leon!" Rori exclaimed, dropping to his side and pushing Andrew out of the way. She touched his cheek tenderly and gasped, after her first gasp more came quickly and she started to hyper-ventilate. Arorchidemon moved to help her but as she did data peeled back from her hand, and ran the length of her body until she was Orchidemon again. Orchidemon moved quickly and slapped her friend "Calm down!" she ordered; Rori gasped and held her cheek. King and Andrew stared at both Rori and Leon in turn. "They key is in his pocket!" Andrew announced, withdrawing it and clicking it into the hospital doors, where the doctor's and nurses were waiting to get everyone inside. Andrew lifted Leon and quickly ran inside, with Rori, G-Mon and Orchidemon rushing in after them. "What do we do, King?" Calmoonmon asked as she looked around "I don't know but Calmoonmon, your data, it's peeling..." King began as he stared at his partner, who was usually stuck in champion mode. She was reverting back to Rookie! Calmoonmon gasped and looked at the data her body was releasing rapidly, "King?" she asked, worried. King just looked at her "King!?" she exclaimed, terrified that she could be dying. King reached out for the smaller hand he knew would be there soon. *** Simon landed softly on Alice's belly and immediately spoke, his little pink body was frantic with a flurry of actions as he rolled around to get to Alice's wrist and check her pulse "Come on Alice, you remember, right? You promised, you promised you'd never leave me!" Simon exclaimed, worry covered his face as he couldn't feel a pulse with his tattered wing, he gave up with it and pressed his head against her chest "Alice, please. Remember, you promised me, together forever, until this is all over and we can be happy" Simon said, tears streaming down his face. He had been told time and time again 'Digimon can't cry real tears, they aren't real and have no emotions' even Alice had told him this but he knew one thing for sure, the tears that were beginning to wet Alice's shirt were real, very real indeed. |
