Yes I know the title might be misleading, but I'll be kind and make sure it isn't.
The barman wiped down the bar as the last people began to trundle out but as he did a young lady; she must be just pushing eighteen, stormed into the bar. He nodded as he took in her features. Short brown hair, sweet brown eyes and a soft face. She'd want a strawberry daiquiri. He reached under the bar and began to make it "Something getting you down?" he asked as she stared angrily at her phone.
"Yes, yes. Something is getting me down, or more like someone." she replied angrily. The man nodded.
"Want me to lend my ears?" he asked as he squished some strawberries with a pestle and looked at her. She smiled a sweet smile.
"You don't even want to know my name?" she asked, he shook his head and smiled as he pounded the strawberries. "Well, it's Kari. Me and my fiancee, T.K, just broke up, I think" she said as he nodded sympathetically and waited till she finished speaking before he did.
"There are plenty of other fish in the sea" he said slowly, she smiled
"or Gomamon" she said with a giggle, the barman frowned and Kari quickly realised her mistake. Before she could protest someone tapped the bar on her left side "What the lady is having" he said with a cheesy grin, although she didn't turn her head she knew he was looking at her with the same cheesy grin. Eventually she turned and smiled, and then realised who it was, the barman nodded and began to grind some more strawberries.
"DAVIS!?" Kari screeched angrily "I bet you heard that me and T.K are over and immediately rushed over to jump in while the getting is good, right!?" Kari shouted angrily, the barman winced as his eardrums throbbed from the anger.
"You and Takeru broke up?" Davis said, dumbfounded.
"Oh sure, 'course you didn't know." Kari said angrily. Davis pulled his best confused face while Kari clenched her fist. The barman nodded and set down a glass of water, he knew what would calm her down. Kari reached next to her and grabbed the glass, clenching it she lifted it to her mouth slowly before throwing it onto Davis with a triumphant grin, Davis' eyes flew open and he leapt of the chair in shock as the water hit him.
-These will be my shortest fics and will be sort of one-shot random fics, apart from this one which will continue next time. They will all be to do with this barman and his interactions with various digidestined, I hope you enjoy.
