but it is stagnant, I don't mind the leader, but it's the classic struggle for power, and generally keeping the personalities similar just squashing them into different numbers of characters.

I agree the struggle for power theme is redundant, but it's worked for them for so long that I don't think they'll abandon it. It's like tradition in a way.
