Author's Note: The concept is the Royal Knights at the end of the world that Ogudomon had started. They have stringed together a group of allies including powerful Digimon like the Sovereign and Legendary Humans like the Adventure 01 Chosen. This is from the point of view of one of the central pillars of the Knights, Omegamon. Then, the story shifts to the point of view of Ogudomon's second in command Beelzemon. Enjoy~

The rain. I grow tired of the rain. Its incessant beating against my armor, the blurring of vision, the splash made when you step into a puddle made by it. My tent has not been able to hold back the onslaught of storms that have been plaguing myself and my men for days. It is not unlike the Demon Lords my comrades and I have been fighting for so many a millenia. Despite our best efforts, they have persisted in surviving, even thriving, within our midst, as with the traitor ChaosDukemon, in the Digital World, as with the charismatic Lucemon who has rallied the entirety of the Server Continent, File Island, and Radiant City against us, and even in the Human World where Beelzemon has rallied organizations such as HYPNOS and DATS against us. Now, we face our last stand, trapped on three fronts. There are only six Knights left, even fewer Olympians. The Sovereign are ready to make their move alongside the Chosen, whose powers have been increased thanks to the sacrifice of my Lord and Mentor Paladin.
"Omega?" I look up from my self-pity in the comfort of my makeshift tent. Oh, how far the Royal Knights have fallen from our shining headquarters. We now make a camp in the ruins of the Ancient Warriors' birthplace. How fitting that the original protectors of the Digital World's home will also be the final stand of its latest protectors. Magnamon requires something of me. I stand up, cape ruined and tattered, cuts all over my armor. The little one has as incessant an ability of surviving as the Demons do.
"Yes, Magnamon, what is it?", I ask, not even trying to hide the fatigue and sorrow that has been plagueing my being for months. The Radiant Knight tilts his head to the outside where the troops stand ready. UlforceVeedramon, Examon, Sleipmon, and ChaosDukemon's replacement, Takato Matsuki are waiting to the right of where I am to stand. Appollomon, Minervamon, Marsmon, and Dianamon to my left.
"It's time.", Magnamon says. He walks out and takes his place among the Royal Knights. I walk outside. The faces of the varied Digimon that have come to aid us look as beaten as mine. They expect a rousing speech to boost their morale. I do not know if I have such a thing. However, I must try, if for anything else myself. I walk up to the army, the hard wet stone of the Ancient Warriors' home under my feet. It amazes that Humans became the replacement for the Ancient Warriors. All of the humans sans Matsuki are waiting in an ambush location, ready to strike at Ogudomon. I cough. They know I am unprepared for speeches such as these. I have been the leader but for a year. Lord Paladin and Alphamon always said I was a leader, but I never believed them. My faith in their words has never been more shaken.
"I do not presume you fools. I refuse to withold anything but the truth to you. We are outnumbered, overpowered, and beaten into the ground. We do not have some prophecy or the mystical sayings of a god on our side. We have one driving force. That is our will to survive." The men give a yell in approval. Magnamon gives me a thumbs up.
"These enemies are not foreign. They are not alien in ideals. For some of you, they are friends and family, others lovers, and others still rivals. However, I tell you this in the knowledge that Ogudomon has told them the very same thing. They have made their choice and you yours. We are no more righteous than they; yet we must not lose. Just because we are not in the total right, dies not mean that Ogudomon is either. His victory means oppression. As a Royal Knights, I refuse to see the freedom of Digimon go down without a fight!" More yells of approval. Examon is getting riled up as well. She was always the feistiest out of us, even Dynasmon would agree. I would speak further if I had the words. However, my men don't seem to mind. They are ready. The rain stops, and the sun comes out. The calm before the storm is ending.
