(Nene's POV)

Everything was destroyed. The white castle was in ruins. A figure came out of smoke. I recognized it as Taiki. He was carrying another body on his arms. In horror, I realized it was Yuu. His Xros Loader was intact. In his belt was Kiriha's Xros Loader.

"What happened to Kiriha-kun and the Digimon?"

"All Digimon are alive. But Kiriha...he doesn't exist anymore. I had a choice between saving him or Yuu. I chose the latter. I kept my promise to you...Yuu is on our side now...But I am not. You two must take Red and Blue Xros Loaders and fulfill our goal of defeating Baguramon and DarkKnightmon."

He laid Yuu on the ground, then he collapsed. His breathing was slower and slower. I checked his pulse. It was very weak. Soon there was none.

Taiki had died for me and my brother.

His last wish was for me and Yuu to defeat Bagramon. And I'll fulfill it.

I picked up Red Xros Loader and Blue Xros Loader.

By that time, Yuu was on his feet.

"Let's go, Yuu." I said firmly.

"But sis, what about Taiki-san and Kiriha-san?"

"We need to go. Remember what happened last time you didn't listen to me?"

"I became evil."

"Exactly."

Next few days, Bagura Army feared the losses they lived through. After Taiki and Kiriha died, Nene had changed. She became more decisive and more eager to destroy Bagruramon and DarkKnightmon.

Baguramon and DarkKnightmon discussed a little among themselves.

"Not only is Nene a vengeful spirit, but Yuu had disappeared ever since the assault on White Castle."

"What could have happened to him?"

"Nobody knows."

And then MailBirdramon smashed open the Pandemonium ceiling.

Shoutmon X7 landed gracefully on floor. Nene was on his right shoulder, and Yuu on his left.

DarkKnightmon was suprised, to say the least.

[Orlando]

Wow two character deaths in one story, that's quite a lot. Thank God they don't actually die, they're some of my favorite characters.

[Nene]

Well, I thought it will trigger Nene's vengeful side, causing her to avenge their deaths...

[Orlando]

Yea that's true. It is cool to see her express vengeful emotions that she wouldn't normally do.

[Nene]

My thoughts exactly.

[Talmon]

I think it's clever but ultra unrealistic, even in a wild dizzy daydream. Taiki would have never done that, it goes against the goggle-head nature. He would have saved both or just Kiriha.

[Nene]

Not really. He promised Nene he would save her brother, which he did.

[Talmon]

The entire digimon franchise is not based on a promise such as that. Take a look at when Jeri lost Leomon. What was Takato's first reaction, I promised to save the digital world, or sadness for Jeri? It works the same in this instance, a true goggle-head or any digidestined would go to the ends of the earth for anyone, but more than anyone else their actual teammates matter the most, Yuu is not currently a teammate, that could in theory change but he isn't a teammate therefore Taiki would save Kiriha over Yuu any day.

[Nene]

But Nene is a teammate too. And it's her brother we're talking about here. And who is to say that only teammates matter? Taiki once saved Ba'almon, even though Ba'almon wasn't a teammate at that time. Besides, Taiki's saving of Yuu could lead to the latter becoming a teammate.

[Talmon]

But it's not Nene he is saving, it is Yuu, the fact she is a teammate accounts for very little. I'm not saying only teammates matter, I mean Marcus saves Keenan countless times, but if it was a choice between him and Yoshino, then Marcus would try save both, and probably succeed somehow, but if he couldn't he would save Yoshi. It could, as I said in the above instance it eventually did, but if he had to make a choice he would choose an actual teammate.

[Nene]

But Keenan became a teammate later on, which kills your little theory. I mean, who is to say that Yuu won't become a teammate later on, in which case, saving him would be justified.

[Talmon]

Nene, that was factored into the equation, please read what I type carefully. No that does not justify saving him, no one can predict the future.

[Nene]

I can. I predicted Nene turning good. I also predicted finding Cutemon's parents. Now, I predict that Yuu will turn good.

[Talmon]

that's not predicting the future, that is dumb luck and experience.
