Taiki, Kiriha and Nene walked solemnly towards the Demon's nest. Yuu was trekking behind them, forlorn.

"What is it, Yuu?" asked Taiki

"Damemon..." was the reply "He...he died in my arms."

Suddenly, Yuu began sobbing.

Taiki tore his gaze away from Yuu, facing Kiriha and Nene.

"We need to stop." he said firmly.

"But Taiki..." Kiriha began to protest, but Shoutmon smacked Kiriha squarely in the face.

"Hey, are you listening, KIRIHA?" Shoutmon spoke sharply "We...never...leave...a...teammate...to...SUFFER!"

Upon saying the last word, Shoutmon smacked Kiriha into a stomach, causing the teen to lose his breath momentarily.

Upon turning around, Shoutmon and Kiriha discovered that a fire was made. Taiki, Nene and Yuu were sitting next to it.

Yuu was covered with cloak. A cloak for nobility.

Knightmon was sitting nearby. His cloak was lacking.

"Knightmon, what...?"Kiriha began, only to be smacked by Shoutmon again

"Taiki-dono asked me to do it." said Knightmon, indicating to three humans around the fire "So, I did it." he concluded simply

Despite the chill atmosphere, however, Yuu didn't say a word.

Finally, Taiki could not bear it any longer. He abruptly stood up, suprising both Nene and Yuu.

"Everyone!" Taiki declared "Wanna play a game?"

"What kind of game?" everyone asked

Taiki smirked

"Simple. The winner gets a special badge." said Taiki, pulling a golden badge out of his pocket."

"And who is the winner?" everyone asked, eager

Taiki indicated towards Yuu

"Whoever gets him to laugh." Taiki said simply "I will observe."

Taiki and others hammered, preparing the makeshift stage. Yuu was helping as well, although it was clear that his spirit was elsewhere.
He was also unaware of the strange looks his comrades were giving him.

There was only one chair, for one spectator. Nene prepared it herself, because it was the least she could do for her brother.

When the stage was finished, Taiki bid other three members of Xros Heart United Army to come with him.

And they did. Taiki was first in column, followed by Nene, followed by Kiriha, followed by Yuu.

"I called all four of you here for special annoucement. The stage is finished. The show begins." said Taiki, staring at Yuu

"Aonuma Kiriha. Amano Nene. Amano Yuu. Let's do our best." Taiki said, emphasizing first and last name.

Kiriha nodded. He knew what he had to do. His hand bailed into fist.

He took a step forward. Without a warning, his fist collided with Yuu's head.

The younger boy fell onto soft ground.

Taiki and Nene picked Yuu up and went back inside, followed by Kiriha.

Taiki and Nene placed Yuu into a sitting position on a chair Nene had prepared earlier. After which both of them climbed the stage and disappeared.

Kiriha had one more thing to do. He pulled a thick rope out of his pocket and used it to tie Yuu to a chair.

"No escape, Amano-san." Kiriha chuckled, before he too, disappeared behind the curtain.

Kiriha, Taiki and Nene grabbed each other's hand.

"Okay, Xros Heart United Army. Let's do our best!"

"I will win!" Nene exclaimed. "After all, me and Akari-san made Karatenmon laugh."

"Yes, but Akari isn't here. Besides, Karatenmon wasn't as forlorn as Yuu is."

"You're right." Nene sighed "My brother smiled only once in his life." she added glumly.

Taiki and Kiriha looked at her, bewildered

"This will be harder than we thought." Taiki said glumly
