(Seto's POV)
I couldn't understand why he was attacking me. He had nothing to gain from that.
I looked around and saw him smiling slyly and the person who sat to his right.
A striking suspicion engulfed me. Why? Why would he do that? I heard that he said he wanted to face a certain someone, and then he mentioned a certain unlucky someone. But from the look in his eyes, he knew that both me and his best friend were out of his league. That eliminates the two of us.
Like in a dream, I saw him and his intended opponent glaring at each other, under spotlight. Although I doubted that it was the goal they both shared, I admired his spirit. And I could help him achieve his goal. And so I did.
I heard him mocking his intended opponent. I shrugged. Things weren't going his way alone. They were going my way too. I also achieved my own goal of facing his best friend.
But something bugged me about the way that he and his best friend stared at his intended opponent. It was hatred. But it was more than just hatred. It was a sense of justice.
I couldn't help but wonder: could his intended opponent be the Ultimate Evil.
No...If those two face off, he'll surely perish. Something in him reminded me of my brother. I decided that I had to dishearten him so that he forfeits. At least he would remain intact.
So I did. I told him squarely that he doesn't meet the odds. But it seems that my attempt to dishearten him didn't work.
