Like Family

Their feelings were feelings of mother and daughter, even though they were not real mother and daughter, they surely felt like that. Often times, Hikaru would rest her head on her 'mother's' shoulder, and Athena would hug her around the waist.

At night, they would even come alive and talk to each other. Mother/daughter relationship wasn't strange to them, cos their owners were mother and daughter too.

And often times, they would talk to each other about their past experiences. In the past, they never faltered in advancing along with their owners. Till they met each other. And mothers allowed their daughters to win.

"You remember when I used your own power against you, mother." Hikaru asked, joy in her eyes.

"No, not at all, Hikaru. It proves you're growing as a fighter. As I was." Athena stated "Say, all of the audience should have been suprised that our owners are mother and daughter, but they weren't. They probably didn't believe that they were. Let's pay a visit to certain someone. She's a reporter, she could announce to everyone that our owners are mother and daughter."

Hikaru smiled as two white wings appeared on her back. Athena also grew wings, although smaller ones. Hikaru opened the window and they flew out.

"Hatoko." said Hikaru, breathless, while being held by aforementioned Hatoko, who looked concerned.

"Hikaru, don't be so careless. You're the champion now."

"We came to ask for a favor."


In a day, everyone knew that Hikaru's owner and Athena's owner were mother and daughter.

"There would be another tournament soon." Athena spoke gently "A tag team tournament, where you and I could fight as allies instead of enemies."

"That would be great, mother." Hikaru said, smiling.

It looks good, there are a few grammatical mistakes but nothing big, liking missing a/an's. It flows well although there isn't much description.

I liked the idea of a mother daughter bond despite the fact they aren't really mother and daughter. Which anime/manga is this?

It's too short to really get into the plot. I was beginning to enjoy the plot and then kaputt it's over. I'd suggest longer fics Nene, they are enjoyable to read sometimes

And the anime is Angelic Layer. ^_^

You should try watching it. You'd like it.
