What a fool he was for trusting them.
Sure, they cared for him early on, but that was when he still believed them and played their little game. Back then, he was their most trusted officer, working with them in the background. Sometimes he felt a little doubt, but that doubt would quickly dissipate with Damemon around. Now that he looked back, he realized that Damemon was the only one who actually cared for him. The other army members were simply using him. He lied, he betrayed, and he even tried to kill his own sister.
He clenched his fists. The veil was lifted from his eyes, and he saw the light of truth. No longer would he stand with Army. Instead, he would join the rebels. Next morning, they all escaped, and he went with them. He suddenly go the idea and relayed it to his new allies. Nodding, they changed direction and soon arrived at castle which was raided by Army many years ago. His sister led the others away while he waited for Army second-in-command to arrive.
And he did arrive. His form was that of knight. Knight of darkness. On his shoulder was small yellow mouse. He felt an unexplained rage inside of him. This was the same mouse that yawned while Damemon was dying. A strong desire for revenge engulfed him, and he jumped, grabbing Tyutyumon in the process, and starting choking the mouse. The small creature looked afraid, which gave him a grim sense of justice. The knight looked frightened too.
In ancient time, there was a law 'eye for an eye'. Who ever killed someone, either directly or indirectly, was meant to suffer the same fate. He shifted his attention to knight.
"Partner."he whispered, in falsely subdued tone "What is it like to walk off knowing you killed someone?" he raised a hand "No, don't answer that. Everything I'd hear from you are more lies, so don't bother." he paused "Partner, you will die today, I promise you that."
He began pacing around the room "All I wanted was a world without death. You lied to me this was such a world, thus luring me to join you and corrupting me in the process. You had me believe a nonexistant fairytale, thus causing me to question my own flesh and blood." As on cue, his sister stepped into the light.
Knight's eyes widened when he grabbed the sword and started approaching him, placing a sword tip onto knight's heart. The blade then ended knight's life, freeing its wielder from his shackles.
"Yuu." he said "I'm Yuu Amano. I'm no longer a puppet of darkness."
he turned to his sister, Nene, hugging her tightly "And this is my choice."
