Welcome to the Role-Play(RP)section of DigiXros!
Basically, a Role-Play is when you assume a role of a character, be it Original or from the Anime/Manga itself.
[Possible scenarios]
Possible Scenario 1a: All RPs are set after each respective season to make things canon. As such, the anime characters from that respective season will make appearances.
Possible Scenario 1b: The RP is set in one big universe and the Anime characters will make an appearance.
Possible Scenario 2a: Some RPs are set in an Alternate Universe,so you may be original here.
Possible Scenario 2b: The RP is set in an adaptation of the anime/magna universe.
When Posting:
-Make sure you are posting in the right RP. Posting in the wrong RP will cause confusion as there will be continuity errors.
Example: I want to post in the RPing thread for season 1 but I misclicked and entered the RPing thread for season 2. If I had posted there it'll ruin the continuity of RP in that thread. So checking the thread to post in is a must!
- Be respectful. Don't call others names except those they said you could call them by. This may change depending on the temperment of your character but should the other poster request it to stop because it's upsetting them then take it up with the OP
- Posts should stay within the boundaries of the thread's topic. Make it have some connection. When you are with other characters, they must be similar posts unless you meet up with other characters or they leave to go somewhere else. Do not just post randomly, even if you are on your own.
- NO PUSHING for your pairing. You can have slight parings here and there, but making it fixed is out of bounds and is not allowed.(Canon only)
- Post in third person perspective.(Unless otherwise specified)
- No vulgarities/cussing/cursing.(Unless otherwise specified)
- Only the thread/Role-Play starter can start the Role-Play(Unless otherwise specified)
-NO godmodding/controlling (the characters of)others(unless the LAST rule is applied. Even if it is, it most likely will be the RP starter that will be 'godmodding')
Characters:
- You must have a name for your character. The name of the character need not be your name. Try be creative.
- You may have a Digimon that is already in the anime.(Unless otherwise specified)
- Try to have as much background info as possible.
- If age has to be mentioned, use your real age if you are Role-playing as yourself. This does not apply if you are not RPing as yourself. (But if you feel insecure speak to the OP)
- Character cannot be a sibling of a character in the anime for continuity reasons. (Without special permission from the OP in an Original RP)
- (In Frontier RPs) Character can Spirit evolve into an Original Digimon. *Subject to RP starter, see the rule below.
- RP starter must specify if Original Digimon are allowed or not allowed.
Battles:
- Try to be as dramatic as possible(but no exaggeration).
- No unrealistic battles(Child beating Ultimate)(Human beating Digimon).(Unless otherwise specified)
- No thrashing enemies(Ultimate beating Adult and below). (This rule is subject to change)
Making the RP thread:
- Be sure it is screened before making the signup thread!(<--Important your thread will be locked if you make it without, then it can be unlocked when you have finished the screening.)(I'm not sure this applies to us, but if a mod/admin posts you must pay heed.)
- When you make your RP thread, be sure to make one thread for character sign-ups, and one for the RP itself. (This is not required but preferred)
- Make the Sign-up thread first. Only after a sufficient number of people have signed up then you make the RP thread.
Flowchart:
RP Signup thread - > People sign up - > Enough people to start - > RP Thread created - > Start RPing
- Role-Play starter has to specify deadline for Sign-ups. (Not required but greatly preferred)
Inactive RPs:
- Moderators have the right to lock RPs which have been inactive because members have school, work, other commitments, not logged on for some time, and so forth.
- To request for an RP unlocking, please PM a member of staff, preferably an RP staff member then if not a global moderator who may direct you to an admin.
- When requesting for the unlocking of locked RP, please be sure you have asked those who have also RPed if they want to continue and they said yes.
- Inactive RPs may be used as a base for another RP
